My Place Poem by Joseph Gro

My Place

Hidden behind two blue windows,
Lies deep among curled gray matter,
My place, my home, my hearts desire.
In this world, infinite options
Exist solely for my bidding.
Traveling wherever I go.
Close my eyes, I am back again.
Where I have gone, where I will be?
Millions of flashes, some quite bright,
Others fading with each passing day.
This place, my own and not others.
They cannot break my locked doors.
Alas, this place is not lasting
For when the body goes, so does it.
