My Quiet Time Poem by jasmine Johnson

My Quiet Time

Rating: 2.5

I go to the swamp every night,
The stars shine really bright.
I take the same trail every time,
Frogs just go hopping by.

I watch the fish jump up high,
I think they try to touch the sky.
The bats play tag, again and again,
I always get there when they begin.

I love to see the fireflies all around,
And the tall grass on the ground.
This is one place that cost more than a dime,
I come here for my quiet time.

Yarg the AABB rhyme scheme; consider breaking from the norm. The redeeming quality of your poem is the quality of the images present.
