In constant search of myself
Seeking that peace inside
Forsaken and forbidden
Not deserving so I hide

A sense of being trapped
Grasping at straws so small
Scared to face my own soul
Return to doubting it all

Change direction and get lost
In thoughts I cannot fight
Anxiety consumes all hope
Of getting sleep tonight

And staring at my reflection
The pain is all I can see
Regret for each and every sin
Most still known only by me
