My Regrets; My Lost Love Poem by Nate Wolf

My Regrets; My Lost Love

Can't erase the memories of the past.
Can't take back the wrongs that were made..
The mistakes occurred.
But I can only wish that one day you may see me with the same light as you once did.
I can only miss what we had in the past, and cherish what we have now.
I can only hope that one day you may truly forgive and forget what went wrong.
What I did.
I..can only wish that one day we may be as close as we were before.
You have no idea how much I wish to have a second chance, to turn back time and make it right.
...You have no idea how much I wish I were him..to be priviledged to be so close to your heart.
...The heart I once held with mine.
I can only hope that one day you may notice me...that one day you may realize how important you are to me.
That you realize how much it hurts to see you with him...knowing that it used to be me..feeling utterly replaced.
I can only hope that you realize how much I miss you..think about you...mourn my loss..dwell in the past..
I can only wish that one day we may start again...one day we can make things right..and have everything how it was meant to be..
How much I hope I could be that guy again..the one who knew your heart as his own..the one who's heart used to beat in sync with yours.
Who's heart still beats with yours despite the distance..
I wish you realized how happy it makes me whenever you tell me that you miss me..and how much it saddens me to not hear it often..
Oh how it would break me to hear that you're over me...to know that I may never be that close to you again.
How much I wish...to be yours again, how much I miss our good times.
Despite that..my yearning..my feelings..I just want you to know that..
I love you like I always will, and all I want is for you to be happy..even if it's not with me.
I want you to know that..you deserve the best..what I couldn't be for you..
My beautiful cloud in the sky.
You will always have a place in my heart.
