My Resolution Poem by David Olughu

My resolution
In this generation

Is to spread God's word
To all men in the world
To share God's message
Irrespective of my age

To be an instrument
In God's divine settlement
To use my talent
In God's sacred tent

To be God's tool
And not the devil's foot stool
That when men carry guns and weapons of destruction
God's word will be my ammunition

To have a Godly encounter
And not a life at the police counter
To burn in the fire of the Holy Ghost
And not in the lake of fire with the devil's host

To seek first God's kingdom and its righteousness
In humility and in steadfastness
To leap from a life of carnality
To long life in eternity

To decree and declare
And be free from every snare
To lay my hands on the sick
That they may be healed in a click

To be able
To overcome every trouble
To carry God's light
That even darkness will book the next flight

To be a partaker of God's grace
In order for me to win this heavenly race
To have an attitude
Full of gratitude

To abstain from fornication
And live a life worthy of emulation
To crave
For the new wave
To serve God all my life
Because him alone keeps me alive
To worship God in his sanctuary
And manifest greater glory

To save a soul
Because that's my goal
So I can earn a star
And be with Jehovah

This is my VISION
This is my MISSION
This is my RESOLUTION
