My Rose Colored Glasses Poem by Janet Mulligan

My Rose Colored Glasses

My Rose Colored Glasses

Just be with me here
Right now in this moment
We choose our fears as well as our cheers
Don't project, it's time to own up
Am I purpose enough to become a career
Cleave to me as we grow weary
Life will bless us with our hearts a purely
Commit to the process so we can out live
This karmic grip that's holding us stupid
Stupendous is how I'd rather us be
With jolly hears of glee a plenty
You have my heart if you're willing to give
An honest shot at this life's love
Let's be doves this time round, my love
