My Saviour Poem by josie beccaris

you were my saviour, you taught me things while we were together that i thought i would never learn on my own.
you taught me how to love someone so affectionately
i thought that i would never someone so much that i loved you
i thought that i would never find someone so kind like you
i thought i would never find inner peace or inner love
i thought that i would be alone for the rest of my love
but you brought me back from the darkness and showed me the light,
the light of love
but when i lost you, i felt the darkness drag me back to where i was in the first place but i fought it off and stayed in the middle.
i thank you for everything you have done for me, for teaching me how to love and trust again
