For so long as I travelled
I was so tired and wearry;
I didn't bother to see, that
My shadow was with me.
Sometimes it came in front
And sometimes behind,
When trials and difficulties came
It prepared a place to hide.
Sometimes it grew longer
And sometimes short;
Yet in times of troubles
It really helped me a lot.
Many a times I was frustrated
And told it to leave me alone;
Yet it followed me silently
It knew exactly where I belong.
My shadow never complains
Of the deeds done and undone
It encourages me, I know
My shadow and me are one.

:) nice poem. There s this story where a man dies and is with god at the shore looking at his life in the form of footprints (i know im not explainig that nicely but i hope u understnd lol) So god and this man, they re looking at his life, the happy parts, when the man asks god why there are two sets of footprints.And god says ''those are my footprints.I was with you..'' But when they go forward the man sees that at some places there is just one set of footprints and he gets angry and says'why did you leave me when i was in pain? why did you leave me when i was facing difficulties? '' and god says'I did not leave you.The set of footprints in the sand is mine.I was carrying you in my arms...'
Ya, I know the story. Its beautiful. Thank you for your comments.
