My Shooting Star - Poem by Raymond Valadez
one day i caught a shooting star, and held it in my hand for only a while.
then world came it took her away from me. but her beauty now i have carved into my eyes
because what shines brighter then a shooting star at night?
some day, some day
when i fade
i will loose last my memories of when i played
and dreamed with her in those very few days
yes one day i caught a shooting star
i no longer cary her in my hands, i hold her now in my heart
