My Soul Is Like A Star Poem by Naveed Akram

My Soul Is Like A Star

My soul is plunged into heavenly fire,
Many hearts consider me dumb, deaf and blind.
But my senses overwhelm me like a star
Brightening and collapsing, for the believing one.
My soul dashes and hastens with divine love,
Losing its darknesses, and looking the growth
Of a thousand generations, forming young enterprise.

If I were to absorb all writings, my names would multiply,
The attributes of love would coincide, and events
Would defend the schismatic men and women of love.
Mighty, strong valleys of souls entertain the cosmos,
Forever the tunes of hate are discerned, like a clock
Ever-becoming, like the sword of a relative or friend;
Must our darkness create our heaviness in the eyes?

Must my soul be distinguished from other lives of sweetness?
Kin and soul are mightier than hearts of stone,
Their radiance damages perspectives of young minds,
Forming the polythene of illness, the rigour of the deaths.
If my stadium was full of malefactors and rude embassies,
Then stations of grandeur would coincide with deadly knowing,
And my heart would weep from overgrowing, like the star of ours.
