My Spirit Poem by Jorge Arturo Valles Anguiano

My Spirit

My spirit is waiting for her
my spirit is waiting for her flowers,
my spirit is waiting for her words,
my spirit is waiting for her love,
since forever I have been waiting,
and the day hasn't come.

I can't rest in peace without her,
even when she was the one who broke my peace,
I never noticed that without her
I wouldn't be able to continue,
I never thought I'd wait for her.

I never thought that the reason of my death
would be her,
she eliminated my existence with only one person,
who would have thought that I'd feel jealous?
Who would have thought that I fell in love with her?

I never thought I would be nice to her,
I never thought that I'd do anything for her
and still would ignore me.

And this are the memories
of a spirit,
my spirit.
