My spouse, my love, my enemy
A paradoxical bond, so full of complexity
We were once so deeply in love
But now it seems we've lost the dove
Like a raging storm, we clash and fight
Each word a weapon, we choose to ignite
No longer lovers, but bitter foes
Our once peaceful home, now overflows
With anger, resentment, and past wounds
We've become each other's greatest ruins
Where did our love go, how did it stray?
Why do we hurt each other in every way?
I remember the days, so full of bliss
When your touch was all I'd ever miss
But now your hands feel like knives
Cutting deep, destroying our lives
Our words are like arrows, piercing the heart
Tearing us apart, tearing us apart
We know each other's weaknesses all too well
And we use them to send each other to hell
But as the night falls and silence creeps
I can't help but feel the tears seep
For deep down, beneath the hate and pain
I still love you, as mad as it may seem
You were once my everything, my soulmate
But now we're just two strangers filled with hate
Our love has turned into a battleground
And neither of us is willing to back down
But in the midst of all this chaos and strife
I can't help but remember the good times in life
The laughter, the joy, the love we shared
And I wonder if it could ever be repaired
I long for the days when we were one
Before the battle between us had begun
When we could communicate with ease
And our love was enough to put us at ease
But now we're stuck in this never-ending war
And I can't help but wonder what it's all for
Is it pride, is it ego, is it fear?
Why can't we just stop and make things clear?
I know you're hurting, just like I am
But we let it consume us, like a fatal flame
We're blinded by rage, we're consumed by hate
And in the end, it may be too late
For our love to triumph over the enemy within
We need to let go of the grudges we've been holding in
We need to remember the vows we made
And how our love once flourished and never decayed
So let's put down our weapons and raise the white flag
And let our love be the cure for all that we lack
For in the end, my spouse, you are not my foe
But my greatest love, my other half, don't you know?
So let's forgive and forget, and start anew
And hold each other tight, just like we used to do
For you are not my enemy, but my beloved mate
And I choose love over war, before it's too late.
