Is your all on the altar,
Of sacrifice laid?
Your heart does the Spirit control?
Now, can you only be blessed,
And find peace, sweet and whole?
Have you yielded your all,
Before the Lord's holy throne?
You have longed for sweet peace,
And for favor to increase,
You've prayed fervently,
With every breath and every plea.
But rest eludes you,
And perfect blessings seem out of reach,
For your all is not on the altar,
And so, your soul cannot be reached.
But what does it mean,
To lay your all on the altar?
To surrender completely,
And let the Spirit take over?
It means giving up control,
And trusting in His perfect plan,
It means surrendering your heart,
And placing it in His loving hands.
Is your all on the altar,
Of sacrifice laid?
Have you let the Spirit take control,
And let His will reign in its stead?
For only then can you truly be blessed,
And find sweet rest in surrender,
Only then can you know,
The peace that comes from His splendor.
So I ask once again,
Is your all on the altar?
Have you yielded every part,
Even the hidden corners of your heart?
For the Lord desires everything,
Every thought, every desire,
He longs to fill you with His love,
And set your soul on fire.
Would you walk with the Lord,
In the beauty of His light?
Would you obey His word,
Even in the darkest of nights?
For only then can you see,
The wonders He has for you,
Only then can you experience,
The depth of His love so true.
We may never know,
What the Lord has in store,
Until we give Him complete control,
And lay our all on the altar.
But oh, the blessings He has,
Awaiting those who surrender,
For in His infinite wisdom,
He knows what is best for us, forever.
So let go of your fears,
And lay your all on the altar,
Let the Spirit take over,
And let His love transform you further.
For when your all is on the altar,
You will find peace in your soul,
And be blessed beyond measure,
By the One who can make you whole.
Give Him your heart and your mind,
Give Him your spirit, your soul,
Give Him your thoughts, give Him your ways,
For in His hands, you'll be made whole.
Surrender your body and soul,
For that's all He wants from you,
So let go of everything,
And let His love make you new.
Is your all on the altar,
Of sacrifice laid?
Is your heart controlled by the Spirit,
And His love, do you let it reign?
For only then can you truly be blessed,
With peace and sweet rest,
So yield your all to the Lord,
And let Him do what He does best.
