My Storybook Poem by Margaret Everard

My Storybook

My life is so confusing
Now matter how I seem
I'm blundering on the outside
But underneath lies a dream

My dream is one big fantasy
Romance, mystery, I've got it all
Princes slay dangerous dragons
Kings hear petitions in a hall

And thought I love it dearly
That dreamt-up, lovely land
I can't live there forever
My real life waits at hand.
