Life is full of ups and downs.
It has its smiles and it has its frowns.
We raised our children and they've hurt us bad,
We lost a grandchild; that made us sad.

Through all of the hardships I've had to endure,
You stayed by my side and helped me for sure.
With you in my life I can accomplish my goals,
With you as my wife we can conquer the fools.

You raised my confidence and my self esteem,
You helped me do the things that were once a dream.
Together we've taken all life has dished out,
I guess that's what marriage is really about.

I once mistook love as a feeling of lust,
I now realized live is the feeling of trust.
I trust the mate that I've chosen for life,
I'm honored that you are my wife.

You are my strength and the love of my life,
I'll love you forever. My stength; my wife.
