My Sun Poem by Tiya Sen

My Sun

As i ley awake staring at the ceiling
I let my strength down to the floor kneeling
As i turn around and feel the empty space
I let my mind boundlessly race
Then finally i see your patient steady gaze
and a soft misplaced smile slipping from a sleepy haze
your warm hands wrapped around mine
the music of your heart sounds simply divine
I pray these empty nights fly by fast
I wish loneliness will be a memory of the past
I pray for a day that brings my sun along
because without him, to warmth and life, I can never belong.
