At the tender age, I tried to reach you,
A mystery’s left with your image before me,
Deeply and closely I wanted to know you,
Kindness and understanding I wanted to see.
When Mama to school she brought me,
Excitement enveloped my whole being,
Meeting you face to face put me in glee,
Fear was gradually disappearing.
The voice I used to hear,
Turned to be music to my ear,
Enticed me fully to listen,
Like a light starting to glisten.
Not at all times, everyone’s good,
Quarrels arose, natural but matter,
With determination I saw you stood.
To eliminate disputes to make things better.
Playing and teaching a lot to us,
Thanking God, to you a must,
As a teacher, You taught me well,
As a true friend, to others I’ll tell.
