My Tears Poem by Michael Peterson

My Tears

To lose someone dear is tragic
The loss of companionship and life
Memories of good and bad arises
It's the tears that fall that shows the hurt and pain
Little by little they fall, drops to steady streams
The pain so Deary, the love and loneliness sets in
To see them gone is not right, things not done
Adventures and stories still to be told
Sitting on your bed the tears turn to cries of love
Why now, we still need time together
Looking at the pictures brings memories back that I will cherish
I cry to the wedding pictures to you holding the babies
Seeing you laugh and smile bring joy to me
Why you had to leave is in my mind
Pictures of a youthful you to a loving grandparent
Makes me cry more than ever
Your many words of advice and the corny jokes bring cheerful smiles
I see you cry many times for love, Loss, and happiness
Stronger and wiser you became
I will remember every moment, every second I have had with you
I cry many tears for sad and happier times
You mean the world to me, I want to be like you
The person of many lives and tributes
Not rich, nor poor just you
You made me the proud person you wanted me to be
Crying is for the emptiness I have without you
I sit trying to understand why life is so cruel
But your spirit reminds me of how wonderful life Is
The tears of you will never end
For every tear will be a reminder how you raised and touched me so
The smiles and laughter of you will make me cry more
But remembering you is worth all the tears
