If you asked me what I thought of you
the first thing that I would say
you are an amazing father
I hope to be like you one day.
evertime I look at you
I can't help but smile
this feeling isn't going anywhere
It's going to be here for a while.
you are my inspiration
my strength, my heart, my soul
I couldn't ask for a better dad
I just thought I'd let you know.
I know I havn't been the greatest son
but I promise dad I'm trying to be
I'm trying to be the best father
the kind of father that you have been to me.
the times I thought I'd hit the ground
you would catch me before I fell
I'd never took the time to see
but I see the reason now.
I hope that I continue to make you proud
with everything that I do
the man that you have raised me to be
is exactly, just like you.
