My Wife - Poem by Harold C. Smith
I looked high and low and all around
Until one day I knew I had finally found
The gal that was made just for me
That was the day that I met my Mary
She is not very tall, just 5 foot 2
With hair of brown and eyes of blue
There may not be much of her to be sure
But every inch of this gal I do adore
For she treats me like I want to be treated
And every wrong she does is never repeated
She is not dumb, a gold digger or high hat
And we always seem to agree on this or that
This concludes my story about my little gal
This is my friend, sweet heart and a pal
That is why when I see her on any special day
I think what a helpmate to have along life's way.
