My Window Poem by Emma Jane

My Window

I look up
At a dark blue sky
I look up
At the stars
They shin bright
Boasting about how lucky they are
I look up
I think of my day
I think of how it’s the same
I look up
Seeing the night
I wonder
Will I every be able to get out of this prison
The one I have created for myself
I am prisoner
Of my own thought
I am being punished by my mind
Inside my prison
Happiness is forbidden
Love is not accepted
The truth is kept from the ears of
Prisoners
I look up
At the dark blue sky
I look up
Remembering the blur that is my life
I remember the one’s who couldn’t see
I remember how alone I felt
I remember how I lied
I remember building this prison
I look up
At the dark blue sky
I know I could have done somthing
