My Wings Poem by Shannon DuncanRoss

My Wings

Rating: 4.9

I believe I can fly
All I have to do is try
I believe that you helped me to
Reach the top

People have tried before
Try to break my wings
All they do is make me stronger
But your the only one
who can help me fly

The Pieces of my wings
Were built by you
And will keep building, growing
Till I can fly
Soar upon the skies

These wings aren't made of clay
They are made of feathers
Clay would only crack
But my wings are soft and flexible
My wings will never break

My wings built by love
Pieces placed so carefully
My wings of love made by you
They will never break

Now I can fly
And sore upon the skies
With you by my side
