My Wish Poem by Simbarashe Raymond Mudukuti

My Wish

I fear blood no more
Saw a lot of it at a tender age
My respect for human life has been reduced
Its family that puts fear in my heart
At this point family is all I've got
Losing them would be a lot
Like the sands of the vacated beach during workdays
Don't get me wrong
Human lives matter, but have you realized how chickens die
The night before Christmas Eve
It's called turkey stewing Tuesday
Look at my arrogant thinking
The mind of a triumph sized flesh body
The wishful thinking of becoming a super being
Hope for immortality
And a graceful escape from the fire fury
Miraculously
The thought of an Andy Capped educated prisoner
But sinful vagabond
Yes that my wish
