My Wish Poem by welkin siskin

My Wish

I wonder,
Where Ak-47 would be consigned to grave,
I wonder,
Who would help undo those 9mms?
I wonder if batons and brass knuckles are brave
I wonder who would do away with cannons and guns.
I wonder,
If flame thrower and missiles would be shunned
I wonder if bludgeon and banderillas would be done with
I wonder how safe the world would be if these lessons were learned!
I wonder,
If ammunitions and backsword would be dismantled,
I wonder when bayonet and barong would be stopped
I wonder when would wounds of those assault
Be forever healed, and munitions and artillery be forever unloved!
I wonder,
Where stovepipe and rainmakers would be forbidden,
I wonder if panoply and saber were the gifts of glory
I wonder if dart and dirk would be anytime spurned
I wonder if as times those be done with as quick the times flee.
I wonder when harpoon, bow and arrow would be turned down
I wonder if lance and machete would be scorned
I wonder when bombardments of dales and valleys, hamlet and town
Wouldforever before our eyes be disallowed and banned
I wonder,
When would howitzer and spear be prohibited?
I wonder if the world would learn about its misled fate
And shun those weapons of mass destructions
I wonder,
If the true wisdom of knowledge would guide us ever
To create a world of truth and beauty
