My Wishes Poem by Prateek Sehgal

I wish I could kiss your lips,
I wish I could mean your eyes,
I wish I could breathe your fragrance,
I wish I could feel your voice.

I wish you as a thing,
For which i cost my soul...
I pray to God for you,
You are my only goal...

I wish I could have you mine,
I wish I could be just your,
I wish I could give you smile,
I wish I could give you more.

I know my time would come one day,
And I’ll put my dreams to you.
That day I’ll lose you for ever,
But would remain where I have to.

My wishes are my regrets,
And my dreams have become my truth.
The mere sense of reality breaks me down,
And I fear the face of truth.

I stand between my wishes’ walls,
And the Gods are not with me,
Only you have the power to hold me down,
.......the power to set me free

I have lost you once in life,
and my chance would never come again,
my words, my life stand alone
and you'll care for none.........
