My Words In The Sand Poem by Rik Bertrand

My words our not the bonds that tie,
But my words are truth, I do not lie.
So as I state this, please understand,
What I say is like words in sand.

As you know sand may drift,
And as it does, my words will lift.
So remember what you read here
So that my word, you can share.

What I write is not all there is,
They are not questions or quiz.
My words are for the kind of heart,
To fulfill a life, or make a new start.

Do not honor all that is written,
I am not that wise and I have been bitten.
But do remember my words are true,
Meant to assist those that are blue.

Words in the sand are spread by the wind,
And disappear forever in the end.
Take note of all that you're thinking of,
And place in your heart my words of love.
