Mystery Poem by Morgan Stanton

Mystery

Oh, mysterious one
Please help me.
I yearn to figure you out.
Yes, its true
I love a little mystery to solve
But you,
I just can't find out
who you really are

I study your smile
On the outside,
your smile seems perfect
But deep inside,
Its shattered

I gaze in your eyes
Wonderfully bright and green
Happiness shows through them.
But in those brilliant eyes
Where no one dares to look
Theres hurt.
You've seen more
than a dying aged man.

And in that head of yours
Are thoughts that kill.
If you were to say your thoughts
You would put people to tears
And the memories
that swim around
Can break even the toughest
of hearts.

I see what no other sees
One day, I hope to figure out
What makes your smile broken
What makes your voice full of pain
What makes your eyes tear
What makes you so strong.
What makes me love you.
