Mystery Of The Night (Monotetra) Poem by Terry Hoffman

Mystery Of The Night (Monotetra)

Night is a time of mystery,
so many strange things do we see,
the silhouette of blackened tree.
It does scare me! It does scare me!

The wafting of a gentle breeze
flows on my skin and it does tease
but then my worries it will ease.
Caress me please! Caress me please!

The moon throws down its somber light
and slightly brightens up the night
but maybe blurs all in our sight.
Sometimes a fright! Sometimes a fright!

As I look up and see the stars,
like headlights from a thousand cars,
the nebulae spread 'cross like bars.
Which one is Mars? Which one is Mars?

I hear the calling of night bird
and then by foggy air it's blurred,
but still I almost sense the word.
That's what I heard! That's what I heard!

A meteor goes flying by
and suddenly lights up the sky.
'Don't fall on me, oh, please, I cry.
Don't want to die! Don't want to die! '
