Nag Panchami,
I in search f the Naga,
Just to view,
Search and seek for
Blessings,
Blessings from the dreadful
For to muster courage,
Bolster faith,
Build confidence
And to seek blessings from
The Unseen Luck
Saving us from forebodings.

Where the Nag,
Nag-vamsas,
Where,
Where,
Nagasthan,
The Nagmani,
Nagmani,
How the vastu stories,
Nag-Nagin stuffs,
Folk-tales and folk narratives,
Snake-catchers living with,
Playing them?

The tales of Nag-Nagas
We knew them not,
Heard it not the stories,
The pains of living,
How did the snake-catchers,
How did they take topains
As for living with Nag-Nagas,
How did they dare to make they play,
Cycles of stories aboriginal, mythic,
Mysterious, primitive and dark and archetypal?

Nag Panchami,
Auspicious Nag Panchami,
The Day of Nag,
Nag worship
Into the Nag-devata temple
Where a Nag made of
Stone, wood or metal
Or in the form of a painting too
Is bathed in milk
And blessings sought from
Or maybe it the charmer is with cobras
And you anointing them
To pay homage to Nag Devata through
Their worship.
