Names Poem by Shiloh Thompson

Names

I wrote our names upon the sand,
But the tide came in and wiped them away.

I carved our names into an old tree,
But it fell and rotted away with age.

I chiseled our names into the stone cliffs,
But the wind and water caused them to fade.

So I wrote our names into eternity,
And there, together forever, they’ll stay.

For Cody, my rock, my love, my hero.
