Narrow Land Original 01 12 2009

Rating: 5.0

Lands morphed here before the darkness mattered
Before slaves and celebrity and ministers
Well before ideas mattered before obscurity of surprise
The good land and the bad respectful life the dead
Anubis sleeps just long enough for the opening
Of the Boisfeuillet Jones and the arrival of Tut
A land removed from the burial grounds of home
Preserves no place for visitors to come to whale
But not to worry imagination has her forgotten want
What is not was not and what will comes again
To life from above and the particles to walk on
In the dark and in the place of the foot and sound
Old homes and nests and wombs and dark cocoons
What harmonic is in a dove’s coo and in the thrill
Of a melody line and given to rhyme by Alicia Keys
Come alive to live in him such Acts as thyme to please
Succeed the gathered host of many minds
All in search and in the mood for lust for knowledge
So also names for darker places the light will renew
From day to day the choices narrow the lands to live in him.
