Nataraja Shiva (An Art-Piece) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Nataraja Shiva (An Art-Piece)

I do not know
How the Cosmic Dance of His,
The Celestial Dance
Of the Great Dancer, the King of Dancers,
Nataraja Shiva?

I see the image and think of,
What sort of Dancer is He,
Nataraja Shiva,
How artistic the pose and posture of His,
Standing so stupendously?

I had seen Him on the terracotta panels,
As stone tapestry too
And it was my first tryst,
Tryst with Nataraja Shiva, Shiva as Dancer, Great Dancer,
Dancer of Dancers, we mean King of Dancers.

Shiva as Nataraja,
The Cosmic Dancer
And how the artisans
Who have metallic statues,
How have they the clay models
Blackly and brownish?

Nataraja Shiva
The Great Dancer,
The Cosmic Dancer
The King of Dancers
As an art-model I viewing it with a surprise.
