Natural Rapture Poem by Kevin Patrick

Natural Rapture

Under a natural rapture
washed-out blue skies
Solitary castles with
Cotton sails
and sun stroked pulp
kisses of golden
carpet roll down
the earth
melodic robbed rays stroke
svelte toads that croak,
crickets that chirp
in the rainbow calligraphy
of dragonflies wings
serenades of green
in orchestras of wild flowers
soothing the rims
of your imperial vision

Here laughter reigns a
perpetual spring,
and happiness and acceptance
is the eternal fountain

Its true peace on earth
when omnipotence
lays impotent
For the mother
Needs not the word
To spread her seed: life's song
