Nature Poem by John Albright

Nature

Autumn
Coquetishly knocking
Causes me to reflect
On Nature
On life...
How beautiful is her death

I loved her Spring...
The blossoms
The freshness...
She warmed me
Causing me to shed my outer self
And stand naked before her

I loved her Summer
She filled me with laughter
She cleansed me with rain
She opened my eyes
And my heart

And now
She is preparing her greatest 'show'
She will not let Winter's death
Keep her
From painting her final picture
A colorful masterpiece
That will keep me warm
When she has gone
