Nature Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Nature

You touch me perfectly with many hands.
I prod you as I dip my fingers in sinking sands.
Your invisible caresses as of a gentle lover,
Joyfully comb my hair and tickle my skin together.
The heaven's tears still beckon me for a dance,
Or to trek like tilapia on her sinking back.
If I could be a child again,
One thing I would do, is to play in the rain.

I love to watch you dance as a sea girl
on the happy floor of Mediterranean.
The singing birds they thrill me
with their profound eloquent voice.
It tickles my fancy when they dip
their wings in the orange sun ray.
The trading bats in benin city,
Drive my yearn for the depth of your inner mystery.
But these are not your only wonders!

Trees clap their hands when you host the wind.
Isn't it awesome that you grow
big mushrooms over our heads?
They blanket the human race from blue fright
of your endless sight and the fire in the sun's eyes.
I love it when these ice crystals swim in the sky.
I've seen beautiful scenery on different hills and slopes:
The shapes of great rocks, the red and blue sea overflow,
But their waters don't marry;
Like darkness and light without a grain of compromise,
You too have seen them in my eyes.

Petals of flower they wake when the sun smiles at them;
They frown when the sun goes to bed.
I've seen your beauty in pompous
colors in the sojourn of rainbow.
This cuteness can mute the cry of sorrow.
I adore the green of trees; the joy of my belly.
I saw your voice on the lips of an angry wind.
Your anger leaps out my soul with thunder,
But your joy is much more a wonder.
You thought me if fire is not a friend,
Hell is worse than a fiend.
These and more made me open my mouth in awe,
And you smile at me in the pupil of my eyes.
But here am I watching the twinkling stars,
Meditating before I sleep,
Hoping that tomorrow you will wake me with grace,
And tell the sun to light my day.
But if I die before I wake, will you ever miss me,
Or at least remember my face?
Will you give the wind the grace
to mourn for me?
Will you tell the votex of air to dance
around the protruding earth that covers a being like me?
Will you tell the cloud to wear sadness on their face?
And shall we meet in another place?
How far a mile can love walk without shoes,
Holding my hands like the bride you chose?
If I'm just a stranger to you
and none of my wish you will do,
How come every mirror sees you in me?
