Nature Poem by Kay Aguko

Unwinding through the serene hills of Limuru
Invited by the lash green vegetation
Waving, as I ride through the pitch black
Roads of town.

I am here to perform a national exercise
To decide the fate of a million lives
Eagerly waiting, hearts throbbing
At the blossom of mama.

What a beautiful land!
I am from the dusty dry area
Near the smelly Lake of Nyamlori
What a shift! I am ready to enjoy the clean air.

Evening welcomes me to a duly new beginning
Mother nature has shifted goal post
The cool air has metamorphosis ed
Into the breezing cold evening.

The wind singing, ringing in my ear
Howling, shouting, informing me of a new era
Slipping into my warmer, I cannot fathom
The character change of mother nature.

Morning is here
The serene air is biting cold, so tough
Piercing through my ears
Finding an outlet.
