Nature’s Furies Poem by Dr John Celes

Nature’s Furies

When man can’t put down
A hut, skyscraper or vehicle
That bursts into sudden flames,
What can he do about
An erupting volcano or a forest fire
That burns alive beasts and human beings,
Flora and fauna, freely and fiercely, mercilessly?
Man can’t match Mother Nature’s furies.
