Nature Speaks Poem by James Gibbons

Nature Speaks

Tree lined, free lined stanzas
Gamboling audible quatrains
play dulcet music fair
more than nature can bear
View lovely summer's show
blooming, blossoming country fair
Lovely romp through piney woods
by melodies that cry for poesy
Sing a song of rhymed delight
Catch a heart in mid flight.

On Viewing Pike's Peak

Take a hike, Zebulon Pike
lofty spires sublimely inspires
twisted pines, ties that bind
gnarled roots, leather boots
boulders cover, birds hover
desperate schemes, pleasant dreams
lofty grandeur, glad I'm here
rusted rocks, natures walk
talking hawks, gawking flocks
drink your fill, eternities still.
