Natures Bequest Poem by Roger Snow

Natures Bequest

Hard to make sense
of a World in it's final Spin

Hard it is, ,
to talk to each other
when it seems we're
all out to Win

Compete for Status like it's a Crown
cheat a Brother, stepping on them
with a Grin, ,

Excuse me man
But this is a Living World,
a Growing being,
that supports you
as a life form

do you always ruin your home?
is that your Norm

Well Nature has it's Law
While your attempts to strip her Raw
She's fed up with supporting you
and soon, She's going to do something
about you
and what your deserve comes in Flame

there's no escape, in misplacing blame
it'll hit as it should
pay you off for good, , ,

So Mankind, better get set, , ,

your destruction
of your Home World
that's catching up to you,
you'll succumb, that's a Given Bet

You know your crimes
and complicity

Hear the Bell Tower's Chimes?

well too late now to confess your insanity

That Bell took enough of your slimes

and Karma just Rang,
~~~~~ End ~~~
The Shame of Man, is his War on Nature.
