Necessary To My World Poem by Jim Boone

Necessary To My World

There you are
Just when I need you
Happy to hear your voice,
I s m i l e

Accepting always
My chameleon-like moods
Necessary to my world
You and your style.

Kindred spirits
Dodging potholes
Down the avenue
Hand in hand
Our senses inflated
To a natural high

Verbalizing energies
We share
Feeling immune
To inane beliefs
That others let slip by

Nurturing a kinship
That sustains and will
Never, ever die.
