A neem tree on the rocks!
On the rocks in the campus!
It was there sheltering us
We sat, we ate, we read and
We laughed uproariously under
Its pleasant shade!
Even after our college, often
I went to see it and remember
My friends!
Tracing my friends at last
I rushed to the campus
To share the good news with it!
It was not there to my dismay
A cruel axe or a merciless saw
Might have erased it!
It may not be there on the rocks
On the rocks in the campus!
But, it is there in our spacious
Hearts, fresh and green forever!
