Neglectfully Excessive Poem by Julio Perales

Neglectfully Excessive

Ehcoes emerge in remembrance
Promises of tomorrow today were said 3 years ago
Overexpecting and an absence of devotion
I sully myself
'Would' be physical and healthy if I believed in myself
But 'would' halts progress
I'm prepared to be better, a lie I continue to tell myself
The mind follows the lack of motor skills,
Every occasion, I forget to remember what I promised
... so I wrote it down so I shall not forget
