Neighborhood Poem by William B. Deutscher

Neighborhood

Neighborhood
hot street,
heartbeat.
Intersection
strip mall,
cat call.
City noon
drug store,
bus roar.
Ragged paces
Jagged traces
of the day.
Sunny white
blinding light
all the way.
