Never Alone Poem by Ivona Sophia

I'm never alone while waiting for you,
life moving fast around me.
time doesn't stay still, my shadow getting longer,
changing curves on the old sidewalk, making me remember
this very hour, between day and dusk
this girl waiting impatiently, checking every second
on her watch with a pink band, the color of roses
she is going to get from this boy with dark hair.
this man in such a hurry, he drops his suitcase,
papers flying around like giant doves.
the last sunbeams are warming my eyes.
somewhere behind the event horizon is our place
where I'm waiting for you patiently
with life spinning his circles around me.
