Today I was handed a crystal ball
A globe in which I saw my life
I looked into the future
Never did I think I'd be where I was

I have always been susceptible to influence
I have always been the type who listens and does what she's told
I have always been about my family
Never did I ever think I would be the image I saw

I saw a skinny hideous girl
I saw myself on a street corner
I saw myself engulfed in dirt while my families tears cascaded into landslides
I couldn't see myself
Never did I ever think I'd be gone

I went home that night and re thought everything
My purpose on this planet
My reasoning
My beliefs
Never did I ever think of what would happen

Ten years have past since then
Never did I ever think I would become the girl in the crystal ball
