Never-Ending Pain
Can it be
That someone loves me?
Can it be
That I finally love someone?
Can it be
That all this pain and hate
Is about to be replaced by love?
I tell myself things have changed,
But deep inside I know things are still the same,
Soon this love will turn into pain,
And then this pain into hate,
But I tell myself things have changed
To temporarily ease the pain.
