Never Sing Death Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Never Sing Death

There's always a tale to tell
Of life and dreams, and stories to sell
But never sing death, for it's a spell
That cannot be broken, a fate to dwell

In the lock of every heart, a secret's kept
That's the fear of end, a deep sleep to be wept—
Death is a shadow looming so near
Let's just live and laugh and cheer.

So let us not speak of death's cold hand
Nor whisper of graves and its final stand
For in the world of words, we'll find a way
To live on, and chase the dark away.
