Never To Die (Sonnet #3) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Never To Die (Sonnet #3)

Pristine is love, the one you pour within
A waterfall that withers not at all
Exalted feels my soul with you, her twin
Your tenderness imprinted on her walls

In heaven we lived, as Adam and Eve
Before the fall, felicity we felt
Among the stars we tread, joyful, naive
Before the seas, in harmony we dwelled

Gone is the past. O! do you hear the drums?
Our hearts' echo is heard, our souls entwined
It's time to realign, to fate succumb
The present looks fine, the future defined

Since the start till now, though eons passed by
A soulmates' love exists, never to die
