Never Trust A Mirror Poem by Jozlyn Taylor

Never Trust A Mirror

Never trust a mirror

for a mirror always lies

It makes you think that all your worth can be seen by eyes.

Never trust a mirror

It only shows you skin deep

Not when you made that kid smile or when your noes twitches when your drifting off to sleep.

Or how your eyes light up when your loving what you do.

It doesn't show you what the world sees when your only being you

It doesn't capture when your smiling where no-one else can see.

And your reflection cannot tell you how much you mean to me

Never trust a mirror for it only shows your skin.

And if that dictates your worth

Then it's time you look within.
