Never Underestimate The Red Coats Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Never Underestimate The Red Coats

Our Scottish leaders are way too naïve
The crown will never give us our freedom
No matter how lawfully we conceive
Want us bound to capital and serfdom

But how can one condemn Elizabeth
After what she's done for the working class
Our standard of living grows to zenith
A boon for the peasants has been this lass

If I must choose 'tween UK and EU
Then I chose the union with Britain
If independence be really true
Then the union must end for certain

Our fate has already been decided
The referendum shot down lies dead
